Tove Styrke is back. “On The Low” is the fourth single off Sway, her forthcoming fourth album. Subtle, downtempo and syrupy, the Swedish singer proves yet again that she is skilled in creating soft and fresh melodies.
Born in Sweden, 1992, Styrke has gained critical acclaim from top names in the music industry like Rolling Stone, which have positioned songs of her at their Top Songs of 2017 list. She released her debut album, Tove Styrke, in 2010 and was later recognized by the New York Post as one of the “10 Artists to Know in 2011.”
She refers to “On The Low” as the heart of her newest project, Sway. “It’s the smallest song in terms of how it sounds but in another way it’s the biggest. It’s just a straight up love song, but what else do you really need?” she says, according to Broadway World.
