Some Thoughts on… Coachella

Yes, that’s right. It’s that time of the year again… Coachella is back and that means your Instagram feed filling up with pictures of celebrities and anyone who’s anyone with flawless looks and skin that glows. But let’s not focus on that. Let’s talk about the music.

First of all, I think Coachella is a little overhyped… but that’s part of its appeal. They sell on the overall experience. I would instead go to a festival like, say, Glastonbury because I feel like there’s a more genuine connection with music. A big part of Coachella, however, is the fashion. People go all out to capture the hipster bohemian vibe.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2018, commonly known as simple Coachella, began today April 13th and will be continuing until Sunday, April 15th. Headliners include The Weeknd, Eminem and Beyoncé, who returns following her drop out last year after she became pregnant. The festival showcases a varied lineup of artists, both emerging and established. Last year, the festival hosted over 250,000 people and grossed $114.6 million. Plus, their art installations are s-i-c-k.

Yes, FOMO is real, and you wouldn’t really want to miss Coachella…

(Take me with you to Coachella, please!!)
